She has worked under many known titles for an enriching 14 years. She was acting Head Mistress in Siksha Sagar High School at Bangalore and Teaching Supervisor in Sant Kabir High School at Ahmedabad.
Amita is versatile and interested in bringing up children in a well rounded and informed manner. She likes children and remains with them in the diverse contexts to enable their growth in a natural and rich manner. She has been the home teacher of the Class 3 children of our school during the present year. |

Mrs. Anahita Z Najmi has done B.A, B.Ed., Art Teachers’ Diploma and Diploma in Fine Arts. She also attended an intensive training program in Montessori teaching methods. She has 20 years of experience in teaching English and Social Studies to various classes, including to the board going children. She teaches our students abstract painting as a part of our Value Added Classes.
She takes ardent interest in enabling students to create narrations, poems and scripts. She organizes assemblies, skits, dramas and other literary activities with vigor and creativity. She is particularly interested in the growing up issues and emotional challenges of the pre-adolescents. She makes all efforts to reach out to children of this age group. She has an extensive experience in facilitating Spoken English for adults of various professions as well as children. |

Ashwini is a Masters Degree holder in Sanskrit from Pune University. She completed a degree in Education and has topped her batch. She is a certified by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sanstha, Delhi to conduct spoken Sanskrit classes.
She is interested to make Sanskrit a language that will be liked by students of schools and make it interesting for them to learn it. She is also teaching Hindi in Junior School. She has a 6years experience of teaching in schools. She is integrating IT technology to language teaching. She has a keen interest in Music. |

His expertise lies in Hindustani Classical music but he can also teach synthesizer, Bongo and other western music instruments. Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson is a Post Graduate in English Literature from Barkatullah University, Bhopal. She also possesses a degree in Education from the same university. She has also perused the Trained Teacher’s Certificate course from the prestigious St. Mary’s College of Education, Allahabad before she stepped into the noble field of teaching and learning. She has recently completed the basic research studies for earning a doctorate in English Literature.
She brings with her a rich experience of teaching English language for more than 15 years in reputed convent schools of Bhopal and Nagpur. She also has an exclusive understanding of teaching English Literature to undergrad and post grad students. Besides this, she has been a BEC (Business English Communication) Trainer to students taking the BEC an ESOL exam of the Cambridge University at the Preliminary and Vantage levels. She has also been appointed as a Paper setter and Evaluator for Special English and Communication skills by Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University for Journalism for their undergrad and post grad courses.
Creative writing in the form of Material Writing has been her passion. She is associated with the IGNOU, Bhopal for their Course development as a free lancer and has written two lessons on Communication skills for their Diploma Courses on Hospitality and Tourism Management.
As she is ardently interested in Guidance and counseling too, she shoulders the responsibility of being a house parent to the IX standard boys engaging them in a spectrum of activities. She is perpetual learner making attempts to integrate the best teaching practices into her repertoire.

Senior School Gaurav has Masters Degrees in Commerce, Economics and Education. He also has post graduate diploma in Business Administration and Global Sales & Marketing. He chose teaching inspired by his parents, who are educators and academic administrators.
He has taught the complete spectrum of commerce subjects for close to a decade. He has contributed in areas such as pastoral care and value education in his previous assignments. He is an ‘ANO’ of NCC and will be initiating the NCC programme at OIS.
Mr. Gaurav is the Facilitator of the Commerce stream and also in charge of scheduling and academic planning.

| Mr. Gopalakrishna Gade is a mechanical engineer and had been working as a lecturer in a Polytechnic college in Andhra Pradesh. As he is in Yoga and meditation he chose to join the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, Bangalore, six years to gain an intrinsic knowledge of the subject. Later he decided to work there as a Co-ordinator for Teacher’s Training in Yoga Department. He possesses wide experience in conducting exciting and intriguing assemblies, yoga games, personality development programmes. His love for children has brought him to our school to share his fragrance, experience and teach our students Yogasanas and Pranayama for the holistic development of our children. |

He is associated with our school as yogacharya with other responsibilities, including being the facilitator for physical and emotional development. |

His great work in the field includes saving 18 people at Chandori Saikhade under Flood Rescue Operation. He has been awarded by Home Guard Nashik District for Excellence in Swimming in the year 1994. He is also a medal winner in Asia Pacific Life Saving Championship-Goa 2003. |

Mr. Chandrashekar has a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Chitrakalaparishath, Bangalore and also holds a Post Graduation Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) from Madurai Kamaraj Open University, Madurai. He has undertaken many creative assignments in design and publicity for many organizations including some of the leading corporate. He has won many prizes and honors in painting, sketching and clay modeling.
He has extensive experience for close to two decades in industry and academics. He has exposure to graphics and animation software packages. He is a fine and gentle teacher who can evoke the creative side of children and nurture their talents well. He is the founder teachers of the OIS and Facilitator of our Aesthetic Center. He has been anchoring the “Kalaprakash”, which provides scope for each child to explore his or her talent in a natural manner once a fortnight.
A special Art, Craft and Technology workshop has been facilitated by Mr. Chandrashekar on Sundays, which enable the children to develop asthetic skills. |

She has been able to develop the skills of Canvas Painting, Warli Painting and Glass Painting in students of all levels during the Value Added Classes. She is the founder teacher of OIS.
Mrs. Chandana has learnt crafts due to an exposure to the work of Mr. Chandrashekar and other experts in the field. She has been efficiently teaching the skills of creating the ‘best’ from ‘waste’ and ‘carpentry’. She has been able to develop crafts-oriented skills at the junior level effectively. She ably assists in the Craft, Design and Technology Club on Sundays for the primary students. She has developed teaching aids to facilitate other subject specialists.

Ms. Kiran Uppal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts. She has taught Hindi and other subjects to primary school children for some years. She is one of our house mother’s taking care of the boys of junior school in the hostels. She contributes in innumerable ways to the development of children, including teaching them crafts on Sundays. Her motherly presence in the hostel as well as in the school provides the children the affectionate warmth that they require. She is passionate to imbibe in children good work culture. She provides a rich and diverse exposure to children in the hostels and organizes many assembly presentations based on what has been taught to them. |

He is in charge of the examination cell of our school. He is the class teacher of middle school and is interested in films. He has keen interest in critical appreciation of films and he is also In-charge of the nascent Film Club in our school. He assists the Principal in coordinating and organizing the Teacher Learning Programs during the beginning of each term. |

Mr. N. R. VAGHELA has an ART TEACHERS’ DIPLOMA (ATD) (two years) and Diploma in Drawing and Painting (five years) from Sheth C.N. College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad. He has worked as an Art Master in Sainik (Residential) School, Balachadi, Jamnagar, for nearly ten years. Then he joined Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s, Ambuja Vidya Niketan, (Ambuja Cement) Gujarat. He served for fifteen years in Ambuja institution as an HOD Arts and Craft.
Mr. Vaghela got an opportunity to work in C.A. PATEL LEARNING INSTITUTE (Residential) as an Arts and Craft teacher for two years. Mr. Vaghela got an exposure to work as an Art and Craft director at GROW MORE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE, Himat Nagar [Berna]. He also worked as an Arts and Craft Teacher at ELITE DAY & BOARDING SCHOOL, Ahmedabad.
Mr. Vaghela worked as a Supervisor in Secondary and Higher Secondary Section at “SAVASHALA” at Surendra Nagar, Gujrat. His last assignment before joining Orchid International School was with BIRLA PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, DOHA, QATAR, where he worked about two years. While at Doha he got good exposure in many kinds of Arts and Craft works related to activity based teaching methodology, event, exhibitions and stage decoration. He is a good tabla player. His hobbies are music and photography. |

Mr. Pravin Hire passed All India Trade test (NTC) in Carpentry Trade in July 1995 conducted by National Council of Vocational Trading under Ministry of Labour and Employment, New Delhi. |

Mr. Mitraji retired as an Accountancy and Commerce teacher of College students in Andhra Pradesh. Due to his interest in J. Krishnamurthy’s educational outlook, he joined the Rishi Valley School (Krishnamurthy Foundation of India) about 10 years back. He served as a faculty member of Commerce, Accountancy, Business Study and Economics. He joined our school recently as a Specialist Resource person and Managing Committee member. |

Rasik is an extremely good Tabla player and has completed his Tabla Visharad from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharv Mahavidhyala Mandal, Mumbai with Distinction, standing first in Nashik and is now preparing for “Tabla Alankar”.
He has completed his B.Com. He is also a well known performer in Nashik and does stage shows in Pune, Mumbai. He is also a participant of Akashwani, Government Youth Festivals. He has been a regular companion for classical, semi-classical, light music, vocal and instrumental programmes of well known artists of Maharashtra.
He actively organizes musical concerts and events with “SAPTAK” Nashik.

He has an interest in Urdu and uses recitation of couplets to make learning of Hindi enjoyable. He communicates puritanical values effectively to parents and pupils. He worked in Ira International School, Nagpur, for three years before joining Orchid International School in 2007. Since then he has been with Orchid International School but for a short break in between. He spends most of his time with the students in the hostels to ensure they feel at home in the hostel. He contributes to the school in diverse domains, including scheduling of school activities. |

He has taught social studies at Akal Academy, Barusahib, Himachal Pradesh and B.K. Birla Centre for Education, Pune for more than 16 years. He has taken the additional responsibility of House parenting of Grade 11 Boys and is a Convener of Menu Committee. He has extensive experience in conducting examinations.
Mr. Dash is the Facilitator of the Social Sciences Department. He takes steps to make the teaching of social studies effective for students. He has been efficiently contributing Guess papers for ICSE and ISC Boards.

Sindhu is a first-rank holder in Marathi from University of Pune. She was awarded Gold Medal by University of Pune for her academic achievements in Marathi. She uses appropriate methodologies to help pupils imbibe the essential language skills in Marathi.
She has experience in teaching Marathi at school and college levels. She has published many literary articles in some of the leading Marathi dailies.

Mr. Sunil Kumar Upadhyay is working as a Hindi and Sanskrit Teacher. He has a M.Phil. in Sanskrit and holds a Master’s Degree in Sanskrit, Rural Development and B.Ed. He is appearing for his M.A (Final) in Hindi. He has a rich and diverse experience of teaching Hindi and Sanskrit in both C.B.S.E. and I.C.S.E. Schools. He is a student and scholar of Sanskrit tradition and conducts pujas in school with the involvement of children.

| Dr. Sundar Kumar Gandikota |

Dr. Sundar Gandikota completed his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (presently called NIT), Allahabad, in the year 1982. He took up Electronics and Computer Engineering as his special subjects for the final year. He worked with a public sector electrical engineering company of repute at the Bangalore and Hyderabad plants from the year 1982 to 1995. He gained experience in system engineering and design, process controls and instrumentation, contracts management and implementation during this phase. He completed his M.B.A. with specialization in marketing management from School of Management, Bangalore University, by attending the part-time evening classes.
He then joined a private sector company which required a multidisciplinary engineering and managerial competence to set up and initializing a modern aluminum foundry and machine shop as its project head. He worked for a little more than three years in this company - till the commercial production and required systems and processes were established.
He joined the Rishi Valley School, of Krishnamurti Foundation of India, as a faculty member of Physics and Mathematics in the year 1998. Since then he has been a teacher in schools of repute. He has exposure and experience to almost all aspects of residential school including academics, aesthetic development, co-curricular activities, extra-curricular activities, house parenting, rural outreach programs, teacher development, and internal audit of schools, education administration and general management. He completed a research study of the management style at Rishi Valley School and the nature of growth experienced by the students and teachers, while serving and learning at that school.
Over the years he has been learning to teach the subjects of Physics and Mathematics to children from primary school to the high school. He has worked with students of board going batches too for some years.
He is passionately interested to design appropriate teaching-learning processes for the students who are diffident towards the sciences and mathematics. He interacts with children of the senior school for at least one period every week to expose them to different world views and paradigms. He engages them in discussion oriented ‘culturing.’ Adopting the discussion, debate, sensitivity and persuasion based approach in the classroom he attempts to bring about sustainable for development of values in children by widening their horizons of knowledge and experiences. |

Ms. Sushma Dani is a Hindustani Classical Vocalist and Music Teacher. She has completed her M.A in Music and also holds a Master’s in Sociology. She has been teaching music to students for more than a decade at home and in music schools of Nasik. She continues to learn from her guru at Nasik. |

Mrs. Swagata has done her B.Sc. from Calcutta University, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer and Systems Management from Uptron Academy of Computer Learning. She has also completed MCA from Sikkim Manipal University.
She has worked previously as a Computer Science teacher in SKS Public School, Hemsheela Model School, Regional Engineering College Model School, Burdwan Raj Collegiate School. She has been felicitated by Pro-Chancellor Dr. Ramdas M. Pai of Sikkim Manipal University, awarded certificate of Merit by All India Science Teachers’ Association for Performance in Science Aptitude.

Specialists in different sports like Basketball, Volleyball Cricket etc. Good athlete physique being his asset makes him strong commander in the sports field. |

Mr. Upendra Mani Tripathi |

Mr. Tripathi holds a post graduate degree in Hindi from H.N.B University, Garhwal. He has worked in Rishi Valley School and CIRS, Coimbatore for nine years. He has taught IB students for a semester at CIRS, Coimbator. He has attended workshops of the IB Programme in Hindi and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from RML University.
He is an experienced language skills facilitator in Hindi to pupils of non-Hindi background at the Primary and Junior levels. He is the Facilitator of the Indian Languages, including Hindi. Being a scholar and poet he has been able to generate a certain kind of interest in children towards creative writing.

Ms. Vaishali is a Post Graduate in Marathi from University of Pune. She has also pursued a degree in Education and an M.Phil.in Marathi from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. She is an eloquent writer of Marathi poems. She has done her Diploma in Computer Software Technology.
She uses many innovative methods including story telling for developing language skills in Marathi & Hindi among her students. Teaching for her is more passion than a profession. She considers teaching as a vocation and for the love of children & the joy of teaching. She keeps immense patience with children and her classrooms are fun filled and lively.

Mrs. Vandana is having over 15 years of experience teacher of primary school. She specializes in teaching English and Peace Education to the little ones.
She is the In charge of the Junior school library and is associated with Value Added Classes wherein she teaches the little once innovative dishes without using gas stove. She has also been a hostel parent in her previous assignments. She is the house parent of the Class 10 boys. |
